About AKAI

Your driveway.
Our studio.

AKAI started with a simple frustration: dropping a car off somewhere and getting it back not quite right, with no one to ask why. We built the opposite of that — a small, disciplined crew that treats every vehicle like it is the only one on the schedule that day, and that tells you the truth about what it needs before any water hits the paint.

Communication is not an afterthought here. You get a text before we arrive, a walkaround before we start, and an inspection together before we leave — every time, not only when something goes wrong. The van is part of that same discipline: a quiet, fully self-contained studio that carries its own water and power, so the work happens on your schedule instead of bending around a shop's, with no generator running and no hose borrowed from your spigot.

Choose your detail.

Pick by the condition your vehicle is actually in, not by the biggest number on the page. If you tell us what you are looking at, we will tell you honestly which level fits.

The Process

What to expect after booking with us

Five steps, the same every time. You always know when we are arriving, what we are doing, and what it will cost before we start.

A phone showing a booking confirmation beside a car in a Pasadena driveway.

Step 01

Choose + Reserve

Select your service, vehicle type and time. A 20% deposit holds the mobile appointment window and protects the schedule for everyone booked that day.

Step 02

Arrival Update

You get a clear text before we arrive. No four-hour windows, no guessing, no waiting around the house wondering whether today is still happening.

Step 03

Walkaround + Detail

We confirm the condition and the scope with you before anything starts, then work through the vehicle methodically in the same order every time.

Step 04

Final Inspection

Every panel, every piece of glass and every interior surface gets checked in good light. Then we walk it with you so you can see it before we pack up.

Step 05

Payment + Review

Settle the balance on the spot. If the work earned it, we would genuinely appreciate an honest review — and if it did not, we want to hear that first.

The Difference

Why Work With Us?

  • 100% Mobile

We bring our own water and power. You do not need to move the car, find a hose, or give up an afternoon to a waiting room.

  • Top-Tier Equipment

Professional extraction and steam equipment, premium chemistry chosen for the material in front of us, and ultra-premium microfiber that never touches the ground.

  • Transparent Pricing

Prices are published by vehicle class before you book. If the condition changes the scope, you hear it from us before any work starts, not after.

  • Right the First Time

We would rather book the correct service level than oversell you one. Recommending less work is part of the job when that is what the vehicle needs.

The Van

Our 100% Mobile Setup

Everything the job needs travels with us. Your driveway becomes the studio, and it looks exactly the way it did when we arrived.

  • Self-contained

Our own filtered water and our own power. Nothing is drawn from your house.

  • Quiet operation

An all-electric setup, so we can work early or late without disturbing the street.

  • Low-water capable

Rinseless and low-water methods where the condition allows it.

  • Professional tools

Extraction, steam and polishing equipment, plus chemistry matched to the material.

  • Good neighbors

We protect the property, contain runoff, and leave the space clean.

Clients

What Our Clients Say

They texted before they arrived, walked the car with me first, and then quietly worked for four hours. The inside of the windshield alone was worth it.
Marisol R.
I booked the Reset and they told me the Standard was all my car needed. That is the whole reason I keep booking them.
Dev P.
Two kids, a dog, and three years of not caring. They were honest that a couple of stains would not fully lift, and they were right — but everything else looks new.
Jenna T.
Every two weeks, same window, no coordination required. My truck has not looked this consistent since I bought it.

Before You Book

FAQs

Do you need my water or power?

No. The van carries its own filtered water and its own power. If you would rather we use your spigot we can, but nothing about the service depends on it.

Where does the vehicle need to be parked?

A driveway, carport or flat area with roughly one parking space of clearance around the vehicle. Street parking works in most neighborhoods. Tight subterranean garages are the one setup we usually cannot work in.

What happens if it rains?

We watch the forecast and reach out first. Interior work continues in most conditions; exterior work gets moved to the next available window at no cost to you.

How do I know which detail to book?

Book by condition, not by budget. If the car is kept up, the Maintenance Detail is enough. If there is visible buildup, choose Standard. If it has been a long while, choose Reset. Send us a few photos and we will tell you honestly.

Why is a deposit required?

A 20% deposit holds your mobile appointment window. We book a limited number of vehicles per day, so a held window is a window nobody else can take.

How long will it take?

Between two and nine hours depending on the service and the vehicle. Each service card shows a realistic duration for your vehicle class once you select it.

Do I need to be home?

Only for the initial walkaround and the final inspection, and even those can be handled by text with photos if you are at work. We will need access to the keys.

Can you handle pet hair?

Yes, as an add-on priced by severity. Light, medium and heavy are genuinely different jobs — heavy embedded hair in woven carpet can add hours, so it is priced separately rather than hidden in the base service.

What should I do with my personal items?

Please remove valuables, documents and anything fragile before we arrive. We will move ordinary items to clean the surfaces underneath and put them back, but we would rather not handle what matters to you.

Are there stains you cannot remove?

Yes. Dye transfer, sun-damaged plastics, permanent fabric staining and failing materials will not come back, and no honest detailer will promise otherwise. We will tell you what we expect to improve before we start.
