Stay Detailed

After a detail with AKAI, make us your ongoing detailer. A car held at a clean baseline is easier to live with, easier to protect, and far less likely to ever need a full recovery again.

Why it works

Protect what you paid for

A detail is a starting point, not a permanent state. Everything that made the car dirty the first time is still out there.

  1. 01

Buildup never gets a head start

Contamination that is removed weekly never bonds. That is the whole mechanism — the reason a maintained car takes two hours and a neglected one takes nine.

  2. 02

    Protection stays live

Sealant degrades. Refreshing it on a schedule means the paint is never unprotected through a season of sun and sprinkler water.

  1. 03

    Appointments become predictable

A standing slot on a known day. No booking, no coordinating, no discovering in the driveway that today does not work.

  2. 04

    You actually enjoy the car

The unglamorous point. A car that is always clean is a car you are always glad to get into, which is the only return that really matters.

How a plan runs.

We are filming a short explainer covering how cadence is chosen, what a plan visit looks like, and how the seasonal details fit around it.

Cadence

Choose your rhythm

Every plan is The Maintenance Detail on a set schedule. The more often we come, the less each visit costs — because a car we see weekly is quicker to bring back to level.

Weekly

—

—

The highest standard we offer. Suits a car kept outside, under trees, or doing heavy freeway miles.

Monthly

—

A sensible floor for a garaged car with a short commute. Still enough to stop a recovery ever being needed.

Member benefit

Half price on the deeper services

Members receive 50% off The Standard Detail or The Reset Detail, up to twice a year. That is designed to line up with the two seasonal resets below, so the deeper work costs about what a single one-off Standard would.

Seasonal

Twice a year, go deeper

A maintenance cadence holds a baseline. Twice a year the baseline itself is worth resetting, and the timing is not arbitrary.

A car in a Pasadena driveway under a grey overcast sky after rain, water beading on the lower panels.

Before winter

Rain carries months of accumulated road film off the streets and onto your paint, and it arrives with grit. Going into that season with decontaminated, freshly sealed paint means water sheets off instead of sitting and etching. Inside, wet shoes and closed windows are how interior moisture and the smell that follows it get started — a deep clean beforehand removes what would otherwise feed it.

A car in bright spring sunshine surrounded by blooming jacaranda, pollen and petals across the bonnet.

Before spring

Pasadena in bloom is beautiful and hard on paint. Pollen, jacaranda sap and petal residue are acidic and they bake on fast once the UV comes back. A reset going into spring clears the winter's buildup and puts fresh protection down before the worst of it, and it is the right moment to deal with anything that accumulated inside over months of shorter, colder trips.

Plan FAQs

Who is eligible for a plan?

Any vehicle we have already detailed. Plans hold a standard rather than create one, so we need to have set that standard first — usually with a Standard or Reset Detail.

Do I need a bigger detail to start?

Almost always, yes. If the car is not already at a clean baseline, a plan just pays us to maintain a condition nobody is happy with. We will tell you at the walkaround which starting service it needs.

How do I choose a cadence?

Weekly suits a car that lives outside under trees or does heavy freeway miles. Bi-weekly fits most people. Monthly works for a garaged car with a short commute. Start conservative — moving cadence later is easy.

Can I reschedule a visit?

Yes. Give us as much notice as you can and we will move it within the same period. Same-day changes depend on what else is on that day's route.

What if I miss a visit?

One missed visit inside a period rolls forward once. Repeatedly missed visits are not banked indefinitely, because the whole value of a plan is that the car never falls behind.

What if I change vehicles?

Tell us and we move the plan across. If the new vehicle is in a different class the price adjusts from the next visit — never retroactively.

Is there a deposit on plan visits?

No. The 20% deposit applies to one-off bookings. Members are on a standing schedule, so there is no window to hold.

Do you recommend deeper details seasonally?

Yes — before winter and before spring. Both are covered in detail above, and both are half price for members, up to twice a year.

Can I add add-ons to a plan visit?

Yes, at the normal add-on price. Tell us beforehand so the extra time is scheduled rather than squeezed in.

How do I cancel?

Tell us before the next period starts and it stops there. No cancellation fee, no minimum term, and no phone call where we try to talk you out of it.
